Pay: $12.00/hour, up to 40 hours/week
The St. Marys Public Library is now accepting applications to fill two (2) positions of Library Aid and one (1) position of Administrative Assistant with hours to be split between the Library and the St. Marys Historical Society. Please designate, which position you are applying for. This is a summer internship with funding graciously provided by the Stackpole-Hall Foundation and PHEAA. Students must be residents of Elk County and attend PHEAA SWSP-eligible schools. You do not need to be PHEAA eligible to apply, but you must complete the application as part of the process.
The Library Aid positions help with the running of the Library's Summer Reading Program and the Children's Room during the summer. Applicants must have an interest working with children, though prior experience is not necessary. Help plan and run weekly programs for different age groups, encourage reading among the kids who come to the library, and explore your creative side through displays, make and takes and special activities.
